I don’t know how many of you give this much thought but the net is one of, if not the largest green system / program in existance.

I reckon there would be millions of trees saved each year simply by having the info available to view live with out the need to drive to the library of where ever, purchase a copy of whatever and them drive back to consume.

Then theres the mail – cant remember the last time I got a letter from a freind though the post – saving envelopes – stamps – ink – fuel to post – fuel to deliver.

I even get most of my birthday and xmas cards via the net.

Maybe we should all get a green subsidy just for using it.

Thats my 2bobs worth.

it`s very good to see how the world begins to change and how people get the environment for thinking green and ecological. Today it`s necessary to have people, who care about the future and also care about new green social networks.

@Christian I agree. Some of these have stayed afloat for quite some time and have sizeable communities, which is one of the factors I considered when compiling this list.

Thanks for sharing these! It’ll be interesting to see how many of these stay afloat or if more of these social good web sites develop in the near future.
